Kosher Co-Op information

The federation is pleased to announce that our kosher co-op is going strong.  Orders are placed four times a year; meat is provided by Romanian Kosher in Chicago and delivered to Peoria through Winkler Meats. The Hechsher from the Orthodox Union.

Winkler Meats is a wholesaler located at 733 SW Washington Street in Peoria (park on Oak Street to access their business).  Winkler is open from 8 to noon, and 1:00-4:30.  We are requesting that orders be picked up within 24 hours of being delivered.  Winkler is being very generous in assisting us with the co-op, and we do not want our orders to take up space in their facility any longer than necessary.

We will send out a reminder email to those on our list two weeks before orders are due. A list of available meats is included on the federation’s web site, which can be found HERE.

You may fax, phone or email your order to the JFP office. Please indicate exactly how you want your order (number of items or pounds per package, number of packages of each item, etc.)

The Jewish Federation of Peoria will handle the billing and payment—you will NOT pay Winkler Meats when you pick up your order.

You will receive a bill from us upon receipt of your order. There will be a service fee added to your total. Winkler charges us a $100 delivery fee, which will be divided between those receiving orders that quarter.  Prompt payment is appreciated.
