Our Mission

The mission of the Jewish Federation of Peoria is to serve the Jewish people locally, in Israel, and throughout the world through coordinated fundraising, community-wide programming, social services, and social- cultural-educational activities.

Join us for a Community Mission to Israel, Nov. 4 through Nov. 13. 2013.

Group will depart from Peoria Saturday evening, Nov. 3. We will stay in Chicago , and leave from O’Hare on at 10:30, connecting to El Al in NY and arriving in Tel Aviv on Monday morning, Nov. 4

If you are between 18-26 and have never been to Israel on a peer educational trip click here for to learn more about a free 10 day trip to Israel.

If you are a high school student interested in an Israel experience here are some useful Web sites:

Many of the national youth group organizations (NFTY, BBYO, USY, etc.) sponsor trips and information is available on their Web sites. You may also CONTACT US for more information or assistance in locating a program.

Subsidies through the Jewish Federation of Peoria.

You may be eligible to receive a subsidy if you are a member of the Peoria Jewish community. $500 subsidies may be available to High School students going on an approved trip and adults going on a Jewish Federation  mission.

Long Term study in Israel.

If you are planning to spend a semester or a year studying in Israel at an accredited institution contact the office for a Grant Application form. The Paula Bork Memorial Loan Fund will be making grants available for this type of study. Contact Us for details and an application form.

While in Israel consider visiting Ein Hod Artists’ Village, a picturesque artist’s village, the only one of its kind in Israel, and one of the few such villages in the world. Nestled in natural vegetation and bordered by an ancient olive groves. It lies on the western slopes of Mt. Carmel, in a breathtaking landscape looking out towards the sea and the Crusader fortress of Atlit.
