Peoria Hebrew Day School
Brief Description: The mission of Peoria Hebrew Day School is to lead its students toward the mastery of subject matter, a strong Jewish identity, and a pride in their abundant heritage. Our pre-K and elementary school curriculum offers both a comprehensive General Studies education and a strong Jewish education. The faculty strives to provide an atmosphere in which children receive an outstanding academic foundation in both secular and Jewish studies.
Since its inception in 1970, Peoria Hebrew Day School has emphasized Hebrew as a living, spoken language and as a language of prayer. PHDS children learn about and experience Jewish life in the classroom, but even more importantly participate in the special activities for Shabbat and holidays, which are an integral element of the school program. PHDS believes that teaching Jewish ethics and values helps to enrich and deepen the lives of its children.
