On March 29th, while reporting in Russia, Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich was arrested by Russian security services and charged with espionage. The U.S. State Department has designated Evan, the son of a Jewish family that left the Soviet Union as refugees, as “wrongfully detained.”
